Juventus are exploring a deal to bring Joshua Zirkzee back to Serie A from Manchester United, though sources differ sharply on how advanced negotiations have become.
According to Sun Sport, the Italian club is in “advanced negotiations” to sign the Dutch striker on loan with an option to buy set at €35 million. However, Sky Sport Italia presents a more cautious picture, suggesting the process remains difficult and complex with no imminent breakthrough.
Financial hurdles and squad priorities
The proposed fee represents a significant discount on the €42.5 million Manchester United paid Bologna for Zirkzee in the summer of 2024. Yet cost remains problematic for Juventus, who missed out on Champions League qualification this season. The player’s salary demands pose a particular challenge for the Turin club’s reduced budget.
Complicating matters further, Paris Saint-Germain forward Randal Kolo Muani remains Juventus’ primary striking target. Sources indicate that should Juventus secure Kolo Muani, financial constraints would likely prevent them from completing both deals, forcing the club to choose between the two forwards.
