Medical examinations on Sunday confirmed the worst fears of the club’s medical staff, and the Ligue 1 side now expects him to miss a significant portion of the campaign.
The defender started the match but was forced off before the final whistle, leaving the hosts to close out the contest without one of their key young players. Initial concerns were sadly validated by the results of the tests carried out the following morning. His absence will deprive manager Olivier Pantaloni of one of his most reliable options in the heart of defence at a time when the team is struggling to find form.
The fixture itself finished level after Elye Wahi cancelled out an early opener from Adil Bourabaa. The result left both OGC Nice and Le Mans FC still searching for their first victory of the season, adding further frustration to an already difficult evening for the hosts.

His rapid development from academy hopeful to first-team regular had marked him as a central part of Pantaloni’s plans for the current campaign, making his enforced absence all the more damaging for a squad seeking stability.
