Former German Football Association (DFB) technical director Oliver Bierhoff has publicly stated his hope that Nicolò Tresoldi will choose to represent Germany at senior international level. Bierhoff confirmed that the DFB is in contact with the Club Brugge forward regarding his international future.
Tresoldi, born in Italy, has already represented Germany at U19 and U21 levels. However, he has yet to make a senior appearance for either nation, leaving open the decision on which country he will ultimately commit to.
