Alfred Scriven has received an unusual prize following his impressive display for Bryne FK. The Kenyan international striker was handed five trays of eggs after he found the back of the net in his side’s 4-2 victory against Strommen IF on Saturday.

The Norwegian-born forward broke the deadlock in the 32nd minute at the Bryne Stadion. His strike gave the home team a narrow lead before the break. Team-mate Dadi Gaye doubled the advantage just before half-time with a goal in the 45th minute.

After the restart, Niklas Strunk added two more goals to complete his brace. The visitors managed to score twice, but Bryne held on to secure all three points. The result lifts the club to 12th place in the table with seven points from their opening seven fixtures.

Scriven’s goal-scoring form comes at a crucial time as he seeks a return to international duty. The 28-year-old has not featured for Harambee Stars since 2023. His only cap came in a 2-1 friendly defeat against Iran three years ago.
