Speculation surrounding Mario Gila’s future has intensified, but his representative has moved to clarify the situation. Alejandro Camano insists no agreements exist with any potential suitors, despite widespread reports connecting the defender with Italy’s top sides.

“Mario has one year remaining on his Lazio contract, which runs until 2027,” Camano stated. “While it flatters me to see him linked with prestigious clubs like Milan, none of the stories are true. I am not holding discussions with Juventus, Milan, or anyone else.”

The former Real Madrid youth player has impressed scouts from across Europe, drawing interest from Napoli and Inter alongside the Milan giants. However, Camano stressed that his client’s immediate priority lies with the Biancocelesti’s trophy pursuit.

“We are preparing for a crucial Coppa Italia final against Inter. Maurizio Sarri is his coach right now, and we regard him as one of the best in the world. If clubs want Gila, they must speak to Lazio directly.”

AC Milan are making big moves in the transfer market. The Italian giants have reached an agreement with Mario Gila over his wages. The Lazio centre-back looks set to join the Rossoneri this summer.

Reports from Italy say Milan will offer the Spaniard a four-year deal. The contract includes an option for a fifth year. Gila will earn around €3 million per season. This amount will rise each year through bonuses.

However, Milan must still negotiate with Lazio over the transfer fee. Talks will start after the Coppa Italia final in mid-May. Lazio president Claudio Lotito wants more than €30 million. This price is high because Real Madrid hold a 50% sell-on clause.
