Ayyoub Bouaddi has emerged as one of the most sought-after young talents at the World Cup, with Bayern Munich, Arsenal, Manchester City and Manchester United all monitoring the 18-year-old Morocco midfielder.

The Lille starlet has caught the eye with his performances in Qatar, demonstrating maturity beyond his years against seasoned international opposition. His displays in the middle of the park have showcased his ability to control possession under pressure. According to French journalist Fabrice Hawkins of RMC Sport, the Ligue 1 club have set an asking price of between €80 million and €100 million for the teenager.

Such a fee would likely place Bouaddi beyond Bayern Munich’s immediate reach this summer. The German champions are already expecting to commit more than €100 million to secure Eintracht Frankfurt left-back Nathaniel Brown and PSV attacker Ousmane Saibari. With significant funds already allocated to those targets, the Bundesliga side may struggle to meet Lille’s demands for the Moroccan international unless they adjust their recruitment priorities.

The Premier League trio may find themselves in a stronger position to negotiate, though the valuation still represents a substantial investment for a player who only recently broke into senior football. Lille have also indicated a preference for retaining Bouaddi on loan for one year should they agree to a sale, allowing the player to continue his development in familiar surroundings before moving to a bigger stage.

This loan-back arrangement could suit all parties, giving the buying club time to integrate other signings whilst ensuring Bouaddi gains valuable minutes in a competitive league. However, it may also complicate negotiations if potential suitors require immediate reinforcements in central midfield.

Bouaddi will have another opportunity to showcase his abilities on Tuesday when Morocco face the Netherlands in their next World Cup fixture. Kick-off is scheduled for 03:00 CEST.

The midfielder’s displays in the tournament have marked him out as one of the revelations of the competition, with his composure and technical quality drawing attention from scouts across the continent. His ability to dictate tempo against experienced opponents has highlighted his potential to operate at the highest level, though he remains raw in certain defensive aspects of his game and will require careful management in his first seasons at a top club.

While no formal offers have been reported, the level of interest from multiple English giants and Bayern suggests a competitive situation could develop once the World Cup concludes. Lille’s stance on both the transfer fee and the temporary return clause will likely determine whether any deal progresses before the end of the summer window, with the French club holding a strong negotiating position given the player’s long-term contract.
