Union Saint-Gilloise have increased their asking price for Anan Khalaili from €25 million to €30 million, according to reports in Italy. The Israeli right-winger has emerged as a target for Serie A giants Inter and Napoli, though neither club has tabled a formal offer for the talented wide player.

The Belgian club’s decision to raise their valuation reflects growing interest in the 22-year-old, who operates primarily on the right flank. The price hike arrives at a critical moment for Inter, who are facing a defensive rebuild ahead of the new campaign.

Inter’s defensive reshuffle

The Nerazzurri are in urgent need of reinforcements on the right side of their defence. First-choice wing-back Denzel Dumfries is set to join Real Madrid, while primary transfer target Marco Palestra has opted for Chelsea instead. Inter had reportedly allocated €50 million for Palestra following his impressive breakout season on loan with Cagliari in 2025-26, but the Premier League club secured his signature for €60 million including add-ons.

This double blow has forced Inter to accelerate their search for alternatives, with Khalaili now featuring prominently on their shortlist. However, the Corriere dello Sport reports that the revised €30 million valuation “was not welcomed” by the Milanese outfit.

Competition and complications

Napoli are also tracking Khalaili’s situation, potentially setting up a bidding war between the Italian rivals. Neither club has submitted an official proposal to Union SG as yet. Reports suggest the player himself may need to force the issue by making his intention to move to Italy clear to his current employers.

Inter are simultaneously assessing other candidates. Bologna winger Dan Ndoye, Juventus defender Andrea Cambiaso and Fiorentina’s Michael Kayode all remain under consideration, though these deals are considered difficult to complete. Arsenal’s Brooke Norton-Cuffy has previously been mentioned but is not currently viewed as a viable option. Hellas Verona’s Rafik Belghali, currently away with Algeria at the 2026 World Cup, represents another alternative.

With the transfer window progressing, Union Saint-Gilloise appear determined to extract maximum value for their asset, leaving both Italian clubs to decide whether they meet the €30 million threshold or turn their attention elsewhere.
