Key Takeaways
- Eintracht Frankfurt want to extend Markus Krösche’s deal past his current 2028 expiry date
- Supervisory board chief Mathias Beck will meet the sporting director to discuss fresh terms
- Krösche did not inform the club of summer departure plans as per their earlier agreement
Eintracht Frankfurt are moving to keep their sporting director Markus Krösche at the club for many more years. The Bundesliga side hope to open talks over a new contract even though his present deal runs until 2028.
Mathias Beck, who chairs the supervisory board, plans to sit down with Krösche in the near future. German newspaper Sport BILD reports that Beck wants to offer the 42-year-old an extension to his current agreement.
The club sees a chance to secure Krösche’s long-term future at the Commerzbank-Arena. Earlier this season, the two sides had made a verbal pact. Krösche would tell the club during spring if he planned to exit when the summer transfer window opens.
However, the former RB Leipzig director has stayed silent on any move away from the German outfit. This has given Frankfurt officials hope that they can persuade him to pledge his future to the Hesse-based club for an extended spell.
