German champions FC Bayern Munich have made contact with representatives of Dušan Vlahović in recent days. Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport reports that the Bavarian club held discussions with the player’s father. The outcome of these talks remains unknown.
The meeting comes amid growing uncertainty over the Serbia international’s future in Turin. Negotiations between Juventus FC and the 24-year-old over a new contract have broken down. The Serie A side wants clarity on the situation before the end of May.
Vlahović appears ready to wait for offers from top European clubs. Both Bayern and FC Barcelona are looking for new strikers this summer. The Catalans have also shown interest in the former Fiorentina star.
Bayern face a shortage of attacking options next season. Nicolas Jackson will return to Chelsea when his loan deal expires. The Bundesliga leaders are therefore planning to sign at least one new forward.
Newcastle United winger Anthony Gordon has also been linked with a move to Munich. However, the England international plays in a wide position rather than as a central striker.
