The defender plans to focus on international duty first. He hopes to earn a place in Mauricio Pochettino’s squad for the World Cup. Scally explained that the national team coach values players who get regular minutes at club level.
Recent reports claim Scally dreams of playing in the English Premier League. However, he will wait until after the tournament to discuss his future. His current deal expires in one year.
Scally recently made Bundesliga history. He became the youngest non-German player to reach 150 league appearances. He achieved this record at 23 years and 116 days old.
The New York-born star has won 24 caps for his country.
