- Potential loan-to-buy deal structure for Muharemovic transfer
Inter Milan are strengthening their defence ahead of next season. The Serie A champions have agreed personal terms with two centre-backs. Oumar Solet from Udinese and Tarek Muharemovic from Sassuolo are the targets.
The Nerazzurri won the Scudetto this campaign. They face Lazio in the Coppa Italia final this evening. Despite this busy schedule, president Beppe Marotta is planning for the future.
Francesco Acerbi and Stefan de Vrij are getting older. Inter need young defenders to replace them. Solet is 26 years old and plays for Udinese. The Frenchman has attracted interest from AC Milan, Juventus and Newcastle United. However, he wants to join Inter. The transfer fee will be around €25 million.
Muharemovic is a Bosnian international who plays for Sassuolo. He is only 21 years old. Inter have offered him a contract until 2031 worth €2.2 million per year. The deal might be a loan with an obligation to buy in February 2027. This would allow Inter to pay later. Sassuolo can afford to wait for the money.
Juventus have a problem here. They sold Muharemovic to Sassuolo in the past. The Turin club owns 50 per cent of his next transfer fee. This gives Juventus a chance to sign him instead of Inter.
