AS Monaco are preparing for a shake-up in their coaching ranks. Club chief Thiago Scuro has revealed that Djimi Traoré will depart the French side when his current deal runs out at the end of this season.
The former Liverpool defender has spent the last two campaigns in charge of Monaco’s Groupe Élite. This youth team has represented the club in the UEFA Youth League during his time at the helm.
Scuro spoke to Ligue 1 Plus about the situation. He made it clear that Monaco will not offer Traoré a new contract. He also stated that the club has already started looking for someone to take over the role.
The changes do not stop there. Damien Perrinelle, who previously held Traoré’s position with the elite youth side, faces an uncertain future too. The Frenchman moved up to work with the senior squad when Adi Hutter was in charge. He kept this post after Sébastien Pocognoli took over as head coach.
However, Perrinelle wants to become a first-team manager. Scuro plans to meet him this week to discuss what happens next. These talks will decide if Perrinelle stays at the club or moves on to pursue his managerial dreams elsewhere.
