Al-Nassr have won the Saudi Pro League championship. They secured the trophy with a 4-1 victory over Damac on the last day of the season.

The team finished above their rivals Al-Hilal in the final table. Al-Hilal had to settle for second place despite drawing with Al-Nassr in the previous clash.

Three former Bundesliga players played important roles in the success. Mohamed Simakan scored in the draw against Al-Hilal that almost delayed the party. The French defender previously won the German Cup twice with RB Leipzig before moving to Saudi Arabia for €45 million in 2024.

Against Damac, Kingsley Coman opened the scoring. This was his tenth goal in the league since joining from Bayern Munich. Sadio Mané also reached double figures for the season. The Senegal forward made the same move from Munich a few years before Coman.

Cristiano Ronaldo scored two goals in the second half. The Portuguese star cried with happiness during the match. He has now won league titles in four different countries. Mané shares this record with him.

The victory came just three days after disappointment in Asia. Al-Nassr lost to Gamba Osaka in the AFC Champions League 2 final on Saturday. That competition is similar to Europe’s Europa League.

For Coman, this is his 13th league title at the age of 29. The only season he did not win a domestic championship was 2023-24. That year, Bayer Leverkusen won the Bundesliga under Xabi Alonso.

Meanwhile, Al-Ahli retained their AFC Champions League title last month. Their squad includes Enzo Millot, who used to play for Stuttgart in Germany.
