  • RC Strasbourg Alsace must sell players this summer to satisfy DNCG and UEFA financial rules.
  • Chelsea Football Club will sign striker Emanuel Emegha and defender Valentin Barco from the French side.
  • President Marc Keller says the club will now accept offers for senior players who have spent two or more years at the Meinau.
  • Diego Moreira, Sébastien Nanasi, Guéla Doué, and Ismael Doukouré are among those available for transfer.

RC Strasbourg Alsace will offload several players during the summer transfer window. Club president Marc Keller confirmed the news in an interview with DNA Sports. The Ligue 1 side needs to raise funds to comply with strict regulations from both the DNCG, France’s football financial watchdog, and UEFA.

Two major departures to Chelsea Football Club are already secured. Emanuel Emegha will join the Premier League outfit in a deal arranged last September. Meanwhile, Argentine defender Valentin Barco is also set to move to Stamford Bridge. Barco announced his upcoming exit from Strasbourg via a post on social media.

However, Keller insists these transfers alone will not balance the books. “We will, of course, have to sell players,” he stated. He added that such sales are part of life for clubs targeting European competition.

The Alsace outfit will focus on moving players who have served at the club for two years or longer. Keller revealed they previously rejected large bids for these individuals. The list includes winger Diego Moreira, who reportedly interests Borussia Dortmund, and midfielder Sébastien Nanasi, who has links to Ajax. Defenders Guéla Doué and Ismael Doukouré could also leave the Stade de la Meinau before the new season begins.
