The Football Kenya Federation (FKF) has announced a late change to the national team’s international schedule. Harambee Stars will now face Lesotho in a double-header next month, replacing the previously arranged fixtures against Kyrgyzstan and Pakistan.

Benni McCarthy’s squad will meet the southern African side on Thursday, June 4. This opening clash will take place at the Lucas Moripe Stadium in Pretoria, South Africa. Both teams will return to the same venue three days later on Sunday, June 7 for the second encounter.

The federation did not provide specific reasons for scrapping the original matches. Those fixtures had been planned to help the team build fitness and tactics ahead of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign.

Kenya is preparing for a challenging qualifying group. The Harambee Stars will line up alongside South Africa, Eritrea, and Guinea in Group C as they bid to reach the tournament finals.
