Transfer expert Matteo Moretto reports that Serie A club Como 1907 are currently in discussions to sign Borussia Dortmund right-back Yan Couto. The Italian outfit secured a place in next season’s Champions League, offering the Brazilian the chance to feature in Europe’s premier club competition.
The 24-year-old appeared to be a regular starter under manager Niko Kovač during the early stages of the campaign, earning five starts. However, his involvement dropped sharply, and he managed just 131 minutes across the final ten matches in the Bundesliga.
Dortmund invested €25 million to acquire the player from Manchester City last summer following an impressive loan spell with Girona FC. It remains unclear whether Cesc Fàbregas’ side are willing to meet the financial demands required to prise the defender away from Signal Iduna Park.
The full-back has struggled to cement a regular spot in the starting eleven, with Julian Ryerson often preferred in the position.
