FC Bayern Munich have firmly rejected gossip suggesting they want to sign United States international Sergiño Dest. German media group Sky Germany reports that the rumours are completely unfounded.
Recent stories claimed the Bavarian giants were eyeing two stars from PSV Eindhoven. The reports named Ismael Saibari and his team-mate Dest as potential targets. However, officials at the Allianz Arena insist they have no interest in the American full-back.
The club already boasts ample cover in that position. Konrad Laimer operates there, and the club hopes to extend his contract beyond 2027. Josip Stanišić provides another solid option for the manager on the right side of defence. Additionally, Sacha Boey has come back from his time with Galatasaray and stays part of the squad.
Instead of recruiting Dest, the German champions are focusing on other business. They are near to completing a move for Nathaniel Brown from Eintracht Frankfurt. The 21-year-old primarily plays at left-back, but he can also offer cover on the right flank when needed.
