Southampton FC have reached a full agreement to sign goalkeeper Daniel Peretz from FC Bayern Munich. The Championship side will make the Israeli international’s stay permanent following six months on loan.

According to reports from Sky Germany, the transfer fee stands at roughly €7.5 million to €8 million. Officials from both clubs are now finalising the last few details before they announce the deal officially.

Peretz first joined Bayern from Maccabi Tel Aviv in 2023. The Bavarian club paid approximately €5 million to secure his services. However, the shot-stopper found first-team opportunities limited at the Allianz Arena.

During his spell in Munich, Peretz featured in just seven matches for the Bundesliga champions. He struggled to displace the established first-choice keepers in the squad.

The move to St Mary’s Stadium offers Peretz a chance to play regular first-team football. Southampton supporters will hope he can help the club push for promotion back to the Premier League.
