  • Ngumoha signed a professional contract with Liverpool until 2028 last September
  • Reports claim Bayern have reached a verbal agreement with the player’s camp

Bayern Munich are preparing a move for Liverpool’s teenage winger Rio Ngumoha. Respected reporter David Ornstein states that the current Bundesliga holders have marked the 17-year-old as a priority signing.

According to Sky Germany, Bayern manager Vincent Kompany is pushing hard for this transfer. The Belgian coach wants Ngumoha as his main option on the left flank. Despite this, there has been no contact between the German and English clubs so far.

Liverpool maintain that the young star is not for sale. The winger signed his first professional terms with the Reds in September, securing his stay until June 2028.

Ngumoha is aware of the serious interest from Munich. This follows a standout campaign where he featured 29 times in all competitions. He found the net twice and set up one goal during the 2025-26 season.

His emergence is reportedly why Liverpool did not purchase a direct replacement for Luis Diaz. The Colombian moved to Bayern in the previous summer window.

Fresh reports indicate that Bayern struck a verbal agreement with Ngumoha’s camp on Tuesday, 26 May.
