Bayern Munich have officially announced that goalkeeper Daniel Peretz has joined Southampton on a permanent contract. The 25-year-old shot-stopper moves to the English Championship club after a successful loan spell during the second half of the previous season.
The Bavarian giants will receive a fee of approximately €7.5 million for the Israeli international, according to Sky Germany. Peretz originally signed for the Bundesliga champions from Maccabi Tel Aviv in the summer of 2023. He made seven appearances for the German club during his time at the Allianz Arena.
Max Eberl, Bayern’s sporting director, praised the keeper’s attitude. He said Peretz quickly became the first-choice goalkeeper at Southampton after his winter move. Eberl thanked him for his professionalism and wished him success in his future career.
The transfer ends Peretz’s short stay in Munich and secures his long-term future on the South Coast of England.
