Real Madrid are preparing a massive offer for Bayern Munich winger Michael Olise. Club president Florentino Pérez views the French attacker as his number one priority for the summer transfer window.
According to ESPN, Pérez is willing to spend between €150 million and €165 million to secure the deal. This fee would set a new record for the Spanish giants. The pledge comes during Pérez’s re-election campaign, where he has promised supporters a historic signing if he remains in office.
The 23-year-old moved to the Allianz Arena from Crystal Palace last year. His current contract runs until 2029. Importantly, the deal includes no release clause, meaning Bayern control any potential sale completely.
Leading journalists Christian Falk and Fabrizio Romano report that Bayern see Olise as essential to their future. The Bundesliga club has no intention of accepting offers, regardless of the amount offered.
Pérez recently told Spanish television that he would invest at least €150 million in one player immediately after the election. He confirmed this target does not play in the Premier League. Many sources now link Olise directly to this promise.
The winger caught Pérez’s attention during the Champions League quarter-final first leg at the Bernabéu. His display in that match pushed him to the top of Madrid’s shopping list.
Other major clubs also hold interest. Both Manchester City and Liverpool have monitored Olise, with the latter considering him as a long-term successor to Mohamed Salah.
Real Madrid hope to move quickly once election results are confirmed. However, Bayern’s refusal to negotiate presents a significant obstacle to any potential deal.
