Yannick Eduardo will spend the 2026/27 campaign with ADO Den Haag after the Czech Republic U21 international completed a season-long loan switch from TSG Hoffenheim. The move offers the tall striker an opportunity to feature in the Eredivisie as the Hague-based club prepares for its return to the Netherlands’ top flight for the first time since 2021.
Eduardo arrived at Hoffenheim in January from FC Dordrecht, where he had established himself as a prolific presence in the Dutch second tier. During his time with the club, he netted 12 goals in just 22 appearances in the Eerste Divisie, a record that prompted the Bundesliga side to secure his signature during the winter window.
Limited opportunities in Germany
Despite his scoring exploits in the Netherlands, Eduardo has found first-team opportunities limited at Hoffenheim. The forward has made only one Bundesliga appearance since joining the club, spending the majority of the second half of last season with Hoffenheim II in the third tier. He accumulated 11 outings in 3. Liga as he adjusted to the demands of German football.
The striker previously developed through the youth ranks at RB Leipzig before making his professional breakthrough in the Netherlands. His return to Dutch football via the loan arrangement allows him to compete at a higher level than his previous spell with Dordrecht.
International credentials
Eduardo has represented Czechia at under-21 level, earning seven caps and scoring twice for the national youth team. His international experience adds another dimension to an ADO Den Haag squad that will need quality throughout the roster to compete in the Eredivisie.
ADO’s top-flight return
ADO Den Haag secured promotion to the Eredivisie under German manager Robin Peter. The club earned its place back among the Dutch elite after several seasons away, and they have moved to reinforce their attacking options ahead of the new campaign.
The loan arrangement allows Hoffenheim to monitor Eduardo’s progress in a competitive environment while the player gains the regular minutes necessary for his development. With ADO Den Haag competing at the higher level, the striker will aim to translate his scoring form to the Eredivisie as the club seeks to establish itself back in the top division.
