Bundesliga side will initially pay a loan fee of €500,000 for the Turkish forward, with an obligation to purchase him permanently next summer for an estimated €5 million.
The total package would surpass the club’s previous record of €4 million, set in 2001 when Brazilian midfielder Lincoln joined from São Paulo. Sky Germany reports that the medical examination is already scheduled, indicating no remaining obstacles to the temporary move to the Palatinate region ahead of the new season.
Record-Breaking Investment
The proposed deal represents a significant financial stretch for Kaiserslautern. The club have not previously exceeded the €4 million threshold set more than two decades ago, making this commitment a statement of intent regarding their ambitions in the second tier.
The loan-to-buy structure allows Kaiserslautern to manage immediate cash flow while securing the player’s services permanently next year. However, the obligation to buy means the full financial impact is essentially guaranteed, requiring careful budgeting over the next 12 months as they plan for the eventual outlay.
Loan Spell Experience
Yardımcı, 23, arrives with recent experience in both the Austrian Bundesliga and Germany’s second tier. He spent the first half of the 2024/25 season on loan at Austrian champions Sturm Graz before completing the entire 2025/26 campaign at Braunschweig in the 2. Bundesliga.
The striker’s market valuation has declined during these temporary moves. According to Transfermarkt, his value stood at €3 million following his Austrian spell in 2024 but fell to €1.8 million by June 2025. Despite this drop, Hoffenheim have secured a substantial return through the purchase clause, which values the player significantly above his current market price.
