Juventus have tabled a revised bid for Bayer Leverkusen teenager Karim Alajbegović, breaking through their previous €30 million ceiling to rejoin the race for the former RB Salzburg academy graduate.
The Serie A club had initially refused to exceed a package worth €30m plus bonuses, effectively withdrawing from active negotiations. However, they reversed that stance over the weekend following direct dialogue with the player’s camp, submitting a fresh proposal designed to meet Leverkusen’s expectations.
First-team promise central to Juventus strategy
A critical component of Juventus’ renewed approach centres on immediate playing opportunities. The Turin club have assured Alajbegović that he would be incorporated directly into the first-team squad for the upcoming campaign, bypassing extended development in youth football. This guarantee was communicated during personal talks as a defining element of their sporting proposal.

Despite Juventus’ improved standing, Chelsea are still considered favourites to secure the deal. The Premier League outfit have maintained the strongest negotiating position throughout the saga, with Juventus now emerging as their most serious competition. Alajbegović is eager to leave Leverkusen this summer.
