Santiago Castro is set to undergo medical tests with Roma tomorrow after the Giallorossi reached an agreement with Bologna to sign the Argentine forward for €35 million plus add-ons.
The deal, which includes a 10 per cent sell-on clause, will see Artem Dovbyk move in the opposite direction to Bologna on a season-long loan. Castro’s arrival marks a significant reinforcement for the capital club as they prepare for the new campaign.
Inter secure Stones but face Romero obstacle
Inter have reached a verbal agreement with John Stones over a two-year contract. The England international is a free agent after leaving Manchester City and has also attracted interest from Juventus.
However, the Nerazzurri’s pursuit of Tottenham defender Romero has stalled. Despite the Argentine being eager to join the Serie A side, personal terms have not been agreed. Tottenham are unwilling to sanction a loan move, even with an option to buy, and are demanding around €40 million.

Borussia Dortmund are nearing a €30 million agreement with Genk for midfielder Kostantinos Karetsas. The deal would include add-ons and a sell-on clause, potentially beating Milan to the teenager’s signature.
Lazio are negotiating to bring Armando Broja in on loan from Burnley, while Torino are close to securing a loan deal for Fiorentina defender Pietro Comuzzo with an option to buy.
Elite clubs circle Suzuki
Parma goalkeeper Zion Suzuki has attracted interest from Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus. The French champions have enquired about the Japan international, while the Bianconeri held talks with Parma last week.

Elsewhere, Besiktas have expressed interest in free agent Dusan Vlahovic but acknowledge the striker is targeting a move to a top-five league with Champions League football.
