Juventus make contact with free agent Stones
Juventus have contacted John Stones and are discussing personal terms with the former Manchester City defender, according to Sky Sport Italia journalist Gianluca Di Marzio. The Serie A club have tabled a firm proposal for the 32-year-old, who is now a free agent after allowing his contract at the Etihad Stadium to expire.
The England international ended a decade-long association with Manchester City this summer, having joined from Everton in 2016. During his time under Pep Guardiola, Stones won multiple Premier League titles, domestic cups and the Champions League. He recently represented England at the 2026 World Cup, starting regularly as the Three Lions secured third place in North America.
Defensive reshuffle in Turin
The Bianconeri are actively seeking a new central defender amid uncertainty over Gleison Bremer’s future. The Brazilian centre-back has been linked with a move to Galatasaray, and his departure would leave a significant gap in Thiago Motta’s squad.
