Ousmane Dembélé has rejected approaches from Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal and intends to extend his contract with Paris Saint-Germain, journalist Sacha Tavolieri reports. The 2025 Ballon d’Or winner, 29, has informed the Riyadh club that he plans to remain with the French champions despite their efforts to secure a marquee signing.
The France international has been instrumental in PSG’s recent dominance of European football. He scored 20 goals and provided 11 assists in 40 appearances across all competitions last season as the Red and Blues claimed their second consecutive Champions League crown. His performances earned him football’s most prestigious individual award and cemented his status as a central figure in Luis Enrique’s squad.
Al-Hilal pivot to alternative targets
Al-Hilal had viewed Dembélé as a potential masterstroke signing to bolster their attacking options. However, the Vernon-born winger has made clear his desire to extend his stay at Parc des Princes, where he remains under contract until 2028.
With the deal for the former Rennes and Barcelona player unlikely to materialise, the Saudi club has accelerated other recruitment plans.
