1. FC Köln are closing in on a season-long loan deal for Tottenham Hotspur winger Mikey Moore. Negotiations between the Bundesliga 2 club and the Premier League side have reached an advanced stage, according to reports from Germany.
Sky Germany indicate that the Cologne-based outfit have a “good chance” of securing the 18-year-old’s signature. Transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano adds that Köln have submitted an official offer and dialogue between the parties is progressing positively.
The England youth international is said to be enthusiastic about the move after declining interest from alternative suitors. Köln are specifically pursuing a straight loan agreement without an option to buy, which would allow Moore to develop in Germany before returning to North London.
Scottish experience
Moore arrives in Germany with prior loan experience from the 2024-25 campaign, which he spent at Scottish Premiership club Rangers FC. The winger featured prominently at Ibrox, accumulating 47 appearances across all competitions and registering seven goals and four assists.
Despite breaking into Tottenham’s first-team setup, Moore has struggled to command a regular starting role. He has made 21 senior appearances for Spurs, contributing one goal and two assists, but seeks greater consistency as he continues his development.
Move imminent
The transfer would provide Moore with regular football in Germany’s second tier as Köln aim to strengthen their attacking department. With the player open to the switch and formal terms under discussion, the arrangement could be finalised in the coming days.
Final details are now being settled between the clubs, with a medical potentially scheduled once paperwork is completed. The deal represents an opportunity for the teenager to build on his experience in Scotland and establish himself in senior football.
