Hull City are on the verge of securing a major signing as they prepare for life in the Premier League, with the newly promoted club closing in on a €20 million deal for OGC Nice forward Mohamed-Ali Cho.
Financial pressure forces Nice sale
The 22-year-old Frenchman is set to become the Ligue 1 side’s fifth departure of the summer transfer window. OGC Nice are working to reduce their wage bill and need to make savings of nearly €70 million before the transfer window closes. The proposed transfer would provide a timely financial windfall for the Côte d’Azur club.
The deal would represent a swift profit for Nice on a player they signed just six months ago for €10 million. Cho follows Charles Vanhoutte, Jérémie Boga, Gabin Bernardeau and Mattia Viti through the exit door as the club continues its summer clear-out.
Cho’s rapid rise
Cho joined Nice from Real Sociedad in January 2024. Despite his short stint at the Allianz Riviera, he established himself as a regular starter, making 37 appearances across all competitions last season. The Stains-born attacker contributed five goals and five assists during the campaign.
Hull’s Premier League preparations
