Ferran Torres has reached an agreement on personal terms with Paris Saint-Germain and informed Barcelona that he wishes to move to the French capital. The Spain international has given the green light to a transfer that would end his three-and-a-half-year stay at the Catalan club.
PSG’s interest in the forward intensified in recent weeks, though the Ligue 1 champions identified the 26-year-old as a potential target earlier in the summer. The situation has progressed rapidly, with Torres now pushing to complete the switch after approving the terms of a reported five-year contract with the Parisian side.
The former Manchester City attacker enjoyed his most productive campaign for Barcelona during the 2025/26 season, scoring 21 goals in 49 appearances across all competitions. His performances have convinced Luis Enrique to pursue a reunion with the player, having previously managed Torres during their time together with the Spanish national team.
Fee Negotiations Ongoing
Although personal terms are settled, the transfer remains incomplete. Barcelona and PSG are currently negotiating the transfer fee, with reports suggesting a valuation in the region of €50 million. Neither club has officially confirmed this figure, and the final structure—including any add-ons or bonuses—remains subject to discussion.
Torres is contracted to Barcelona until June 2027, having signed a five-year deal upon his arrival from Manchester City in January 2022. The club initially set his release clause at €1 billion, but Spanish media reported in July that Barcelona would consider a sale if a suitable offer arrived.

Luis Enrique values Torres’ ability to operate across the front line, whether as a centre-forward or on either wing.
