The 25-year-old France international was a prominent name in transfer discussions throughout the summer, with Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester United all reportedly showing strong interest. Reports even suggested that a verbal agreement had been struck with Chelsea, who were actively seeking a box-to-box midfielder to bolster their squad.
Koné was reportedly considered a backup option for Chelsea, with AS Monaco’s Lamine Camara also on their radar. Ultimately, neither Koné nor Camara completed a move away from their respective clubs during the window, leaving Koné to continue his tenure with the Serie A giants.

Following a summer of intense speculation, Koné has firmly stated his commitment to AS Roma. Speaking recently, he affirmed, “I am at Roma. I am focused. We have objectives. I am an AS Roma player, and I will give 100% for this club.”
