Paris FC have officially announced that promising midfielder Rudy Matondo has extended his contract with the club until 2030. The new deal sees the French Under-19 international commit his long-term future to the Ligue 1 side, replacing his previous agreement which was set to expire in 2028.

Matondo, who is 18 years old, initially joined Paris FC from AJ Auxerre for a fee reported to be €17 million, including bonuses. At the time of his transfer, he was still a minor, which meant regulations limited the length of his initial contract to less than three years. Having recently come of age, the club and player were able to finalise the longer-term extension that had reportedly been agreed upon.

The young midfielder is considered a pivotal figure in Paris FC’s long-term strategy. His importance to the club’s project is highlighted by this significant contract extension, demonstrating the club’s faith in his potential and development.

Matondo’s Impact and Development

During the latter half of the 2025-26 season, Matondo began to establish himself as a regular presence in the Paris FC squad. He made 12 appearances, starting eight of those matches, showcasing his ability to contribute at a high level. This season, under manager Liam Rosenior, Matondo has featured in all six of Paris FC’s Ligue 1 matchdays, though he has started only one, often playing a role from the bench.

Beyond his club commitments, Matondo has also represented France at the Under-19 level, earning five caps for his national youth team. His progression through the youth ranks and into the senior team setup at Paris FC underscores his talent and the club’s commitment to nurturing young prospects.
