Kylian Mbappe’s representatives have moved to defend the star forward amid growing reports of friction at Real Madrid. They insist that media stories describing a serious training ground argument have been greatly exaggerated.

The France international is currently fighting to recover from a hamstring problem before this weekend’s clash with Barcelona. His decision to leave Spain during the recovery process has drawn heavy criticism from club figures.

Trouble apparently erupted during a practice game two weeks ago, just before Madrid’s 1-1 draw with Real Betis. Sources claim Mbappe reacted angrily to an offside decision, directing harsh words at a member of the coaching team.

This incident adds to a growing list of concerns at the club. Manager Alvaro Arbeloa appeared to issue coded warnings to the player following the recent victory over Espanyol. Meanwhile, club president Florentino Perez is also said to be unhappy with Mbappe’s recent behaviour.

In an official statement, Mbappe’s team addressed the negative coverage. They argued that criticism regarding his injury management lacks context.

“Some of the backlash stems from reading too much into details about a recovery process that the club is supervising closely,” the representatives explained. “This does not reflect the reality of Kylian’s dedication and daily work for the squad.”

However, the statement notably failed to deny the specific argument with the coach. It also did not address claims of a tense atmosphere within the dressing room. This follows separate reports of a physical altercation between defenders Antonio Rudiger and Alvaro Carreras at the training ground.

The former Paris Saint-Germain star now faces mounting pressure to prove he can become the leader Madrid need. Insiders suggest he has yet to show convincing evidence that he is ready to take on that responsibility.
