Manchester United are preparing for a busy summer in the transfer market. The Premier League giants plan to invest around £150 million (approximately €173m) in new recruits. Their priority is to strengthen the centre of midfield.

The Red Devils have set their sights on Italy’s top flight. Sandro Tonali of Newcastle United has been a target for some time. However, Arsenal and Manchester City are also interested in the former AC Milan star. This creates a three-way battle for his signature.

United are also tracking Ederson from Atalanta. The Brazilian midfielder has caught the attention of Atletico Madrid as well. The Spanish club has already bid €30m plus add-ons. Atalanta want at least €40m for the player, so negotiations continue.

Juventus midfielder Teun Koopmeiners is another option for the Old Trafford hierarchy. Turkish champions Galatasaray are also monitoring the Dutch international. United must act quickly if they wish to secure his services.

Bosses at United are also searching for attacking reinforcements. Club scouts watched AC Milan’s Rafael Leao during the recent goalless draw with Juventus. The Premier League side hope to lure the Portuguese winger to England. They are willing to include Manuel Ugarte, Joshua Zirkzee or Marcus Rashford in a part-exchange deal. This would reduce the amount of cash required.

Christian Pulisic is another name on their agenda. The United States captain currently plays for AC Milan. His ability to play in multiple attacking positions makes him attractive. However, the Italian club will not sell the winger for less than €60m. United must meet this asking price to complete the transfer.
