- The match was moved from April to aid PSG’s European campaign
- Lens have turned their focus to the Coupe de France
- PSG sit six points clear at the top of the table
This clash between RC Lens and Paris Saint-Germain was first seen as a possible title decider. The fixture was originally planned for April. However, officials delayed the match to give PSG extra time to prepare for the Champions League.
Lens, known as Les Sang et Or, still hold a small mathematical chance of winning the league. But with only two games remaining, this looks almost impossible. The Parisians are six points ahead at the summit. They also boast a far superior goal difference of +15.
The home side have now shifted their focus to the Coupe de France. Meanwhile, PSG are busy preparing for the Champions League final against Arsenal. Despite this, Lens manager Pierre Sage plans to name a strong starting eleven.
He will be without Saud Abdulhamid, though. The defender is serving a suspension for this match. Ruben Aguilar will step into the back line to replace him at the Stade Bollaert-Delelis.
The predicted line-up for Lens is: Robin Risser in goal; Malang Sarr, Samson Baidoo and Ismaelo Ganiou as the three centre-backs; Matthieu Udol and Ruben Aguilar as wing-backs; Adrien Thomasson and Mamadou Sangaré in central midfield; with Wesley Said, Odsonne Édouard and Florian Thauvin in attack.
