Manchester City are set to complete the signing of young French talent Mathys Detourbet from sister club ESTAC Troyes. The Premier League champions will pay around €25 million for the 19-year-old attacking midfielder.

The deal includes an immediate loan move to AS Monaco. The Ligue 1 side will host the teenager for the upcoming campaign, with an option to extend the stay for an additional twelve months.

Detourbet played a crucial role in Troyes’ return to the French top flight. He found the net four times and provided seven assists across 27 matches in all competitions last season.

The City Football Group were determined to retain the promising playmaker within their network. Reports suggest the player has already begun searching for a residence in Monaco ahead of the temporary switch.
