Real Madrid have tried to sign other defenders this summer. They looked at Marc Guehi, Dayot Upamecano and Ibrahima Konate, but these moves did not happen. Now they must find different players to strengthen their defence.
Gvardiol is not the only City player linked with Madrid. Reports say Bernardo Silva has also been offered to the club. The Portuguese midfielder will leave City when his contract ends this summer.
