  • Galatasaray have contacted Julian Brandt’s representatives about a summer move.
  • The Borussia Dortmund midfielder will become a free agent when his contract expires.
  • Brandt wants to play in the Champions League next season, which favours other destinations.
  • Clubs from Major League Soccer and Japan have also asked about his availability.
  • Spain remains his top choice, with previous links to Atlético Madrid and FC Barcelona.

Turkish Süper Lig winners Galatasaray have shown strong interest in signing Julian Brandt. Sources in Germany report that the Istanbul club has already spoken with the player’s agents.

The attacking midfielder is set to leave Borussia Dortmund this summer. His current deal expires soon, making him available without a transfer fee.

Despite Galatasaray’s appeal, Brandt has his heart set on competing in Europe’s top competition. He hopes to join a squad that qualifies for the Champions League group stage.

Offers have also arrived from America and Asia. Representatives from Major League Soccer and Japanese clubs have made enquiries about the 28-year-old.

However, the Germany international favours a switch to Spain’s top flight. Earlier reports connected him with moves to Atlético Madrid and FC Barcelona. Talks with RCD Mallorca previously broke down, and no agreement has been reached with the other Spanish sides yet.
