French club Olympique Lyonnais have confirmed they are ready to sell midfielder Tanner Tessmann during the current transfer window. The Ligue 1 side values the United States international at approximately €20 million to €25 million.
The 24-year-old defensive midfielder has attracted strong interest from England. Multiple clubs in the Premier League are keeping close tabs on his situation ahead of the new season. Earlier this year, Lyon turned down an approach from Atlético Madrid, but they have since changed their position and will now allow him to leave.
Tessmann joined the Groupama Stadium from Italian outfit Venezia in 2024. He has since featured 74 times for the club and played a vital role under head coach Paulo Fonseca. His performances helped the team secure a place in the UEFA Champions League qualifying rounds.
The Texas-born player is also preparing to represent the United States at the upcoming World Cup. His exit would force Fonseca to reshape his centre. Aside from English interest, clubs in Italy and France are also tracking developments.
