Rayo Vallecano will play Crystal Palace in the UEFA Conference League final next week. This match is the most important game in the Spanish club’s history. The final will take place at the Red Bull Arena in Leipzig.

Goalkeeper Augusto Batalla has spoken to the media before the clash. He gave an interview to Cadena SER. Batalla criticised the club’s facilities. He said the training complex is obsolete. He also complained that the changing rooms date back to the 1970s and 1980s. He hopes this European final will force the board to make structural improvements.

Batalla explained that reaching the final is very difficult for a club with such poor facilities. He wants the club to use this success to build better infrastructure. This will help the team compete in Europe again in the future.

Striker Alemao also spoke to reporters on Thursday. The Brazilian knows Crystal Palace are the favourites to win the trophy. However, he believes Rayo Vallecano can cause an upset. He said anything can happen in a final. The forward promised that his team will show more desire than their opponents.

Manager Inigo Perez has led his side on an excellent run in the competition. The players want to bring the first European trophy in the club’s history back to Vallecas. The match kicks off next week.
