Hamburger SV have extended the contract of goalkeeper Daniel Heuer-Fernandes. The 33-year-old will stay at the club until the summer of 2027.
Heuer-Fernandes joined HSV in 2019. He will now begin his eighth season with the Hanseatic side.
Club sporting director Claus Costa praised the keeper’s impact. “Ferro had a strong season and helped us secure our place in the league,” Costa said. “He shows great quality on the pitch. He is also a crucial leader in the dressing room.”
Costa added that the player has become a true icon at the club. “He has improved steadily over the years. His loyalty to HSV is clear. We are delighted to continue this journey together,” he explained.
The director believes the goalkeeping department is now very strong for the future.
Last season, Heuer-Fernandes played 33 matches in the German second tier. He kept six clean sheets and played nearly 3,000 minutes.
