Andy Robertson has decided to keep his promise to Tottenham Hotspur. The Scotland international will move to North London when his Liverpool contract finishes at the end of June.
Juventus tried to sign the defender last week. However, the Italian club’s offer came too late. Sources close to the player say Robertson shook hands on a deal with Spurs back in January.
Famous transfer expert Fabrizio Romano says the Serie A giants never had a real chance. The left-back always wanted to work with coach Roberto De Zerbi. Tottenham’s survival in the Premier League also helped the deal.
The 32-year-old said goodbye to Liverpool fans during his final match at Anfield. He joined the Reds from Hull City in 2017 and won many trophies with the club.
This season, Robertson played 36 times for Liverpool in all competitions. He scored three goals and set up two more for his teammates.
