Eintracht Frankfurt have set their sights on 1.FC Magdeburg forward Mateusz Zukowski. The Bundesliga outfit hope to lure the prolific Polish hitman to Deutsche Bank Park.

Reports from journalist Mateusz Borek indicate that the Eagles have placed the 24-year-old at the top of their shortlist. Zukowski has enjoyed a remarkable rise since arriving in Germany.

The striker joined Magdeburg from Slask Wroclaw for a modest fee of €250,000. He has repaid that investment many times over, finding the net 17 times and creating three more goals in only 21 appearances.

His sharp shooting has practically secured survival for the Saxony-based club in the second tier. Now, his performances have attracted interest from the top flight.

Eintracht could pay more than €4 million to land the forward. That figure would exceed the record fee that Magdeburg received when Martijn Kaars moved to FC St. Pauli last summer.
