Harambee Starlets goalkeeper Annette Kundu says the team is ready for their trip to Zambia. The squad will fly to Lusaka on Wednesday, June 3.
The Kenyan women’s national team will compete in the Four Nations Tournament. This competition is their final test before the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco.
Kundu spoke about their training camp in Nairobi. She said the players started slowly but have improved a lot in recent days. The mood in the camp is now very positive.
The goalkeeper plays for a club in Cyprus. She said the friendly matches have helped the team work better together. However, the opening match on June 6 will show exactly how prepared they are for continental football.
Coach Beldine Odemba has been working hard on team tactics. Kundu is competing with Lilian Awuor and Vivian Shiyonzo for the starting goalkeeper position. The main focus is building a strong defence.
