Max Allegri is set to finalise his move to Napoli. The experienced coach must first settle his departure from AC Milan.

The Rossoneri dismissed Allegri from his position recently. They also parted ways with sporting director Igli Tare, chief executive Giorgio Furlani and technical director Geoffrey Moncada. Despite this, his contract is still legally binding.

Italian media outlets including Sky Sport Italia and Sportitalia report that the termination agreement is almost complete. Both parties expect to sign the necessary documents on Wednesday.

This separation will permit Allegri to join Napoli. The southern club have prepared a two-year contract for him to succeed Antonio Conte.

Allegri will work alongside Giovanni Manna once again. Manna previously held a director role at Juventus and now serves under Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis.

The new management team can start preparing for the transfer market straight away. They will begin identifying targets from Thursday.
