Udinese sporting director Gianluca Nani has dismissed speculation linking centre-back Oumar Solet with a switch to Inter Milan. He also predicted that midfielder Arthur Atta will attract major interest, describing the 23-year-old as a combination of Jude Bellingham and Zinedine Zidane.

The Italian side secured another comfortable mid-table position in Serie A this term. They achieved this through their renowned scouting system, which uncovers hidden talents who then develop at the Bluenergy Stadium.

Solet has emerged as a key target in the transfer market. Reports suggested Inter had prepared a €25 million offer to strengthen their defensive line.

“We are not forced to sell anyone,” Nani explained. “However, our policy allows us to consider proposals that benefit both the player and the club. Our main goal remains building a strong team.”

The director clarified: “Several clubs have enquired about Solet, but Inter has not contacted us. They probably admire him, yet no discussions exist with them. Other teams have requested specific details.”

He refused to disclose financial details. “I cannot reveal numbers as these are confidential talks. No deal is near completion. Currently, there is only interest in him and others. I would be concerned if clubs were not calling.”

Atta also looks set to depart. The midfielder contributed six goals and four assists across 34 matches in Serie A and the Coppa Italia this season.

“He is an outstanding footballer,” Nani stated. “To me, he blends the qualities of Jude Bellingham and Zinedine Zidane. That shows my opinion of him. I prefer to keep Atta, but if we sell, the proposal will be impossible to refuse for both parties.”

The club also holds a purchase option for Nicolò Zaniolo from Galatasaray. They can sign him permanently for €10 million, or pay €5 million with a 50 per cent share of any future transfer fee.

“We possess this clause,” Nani confirmed. “He has expressed interest in staying, and we are satisfied with his displays. This is not about finances. We simply need to meet at the proper time to make a decision.”
