- The Italian sporting director formerly worked at Tottenham Hotspur
- Spurs value the Romanian centre-back at a minimum of €20 million
- Fiorentina also monitor Juventus midfielder Fabio Miretti
- The club has asked about Wolfsburg’s Lovro Majer, but face competition from Napoli and Como
Fabio Paratici has started his new job at ACF Fiorentina. The sporting director wants to make Radu Dragusin one of his first signings. He plans to bring the defender from Tottenham Hotspur.
Paratici knows the Premier League club very well. He worked there as the managing director of football before. This gives Fiorentina a big advantage in the talks. The Romanian centre-back has interested Paratici for a long time. The player was already a target during the last January window.
However, the deal faces a problem. Tottenham Hotspur want at least €20 million for the 22-year-old. This high price could stop the transfer.
Fiorentina are also looking for midfielders. Paratici wants Fabio Miretti from Juventus. The young Italian just returned from a loan at Genoa. Paratici knows him from his time at Juve. Miretti’s contract with the Bianconeri runs until 2028.
Another target is Lovro Majer. The Croatian plays for Wolfsburg in Germany. The club was relegated from the Bundesliga. This means Majer might leave this summer. Fiorentina have made informal enquiries. But Napoli and Como are currently ahead in the race to sign him.
