Randal Kolo Muani could make a surprising return to Tottenham Hotspur despite a disappointing loan spell last season, according to French reports.

The 27-year-old France international has returned to parent club Paris Saint-Germain after scoring just once in 30 Premier League appearances for Spurs. The forward struggled to adapt to English football during his temporary stay, failing to replicate the form that had made him one of Europe’s sought-after strikers. However, L’Équipe indicates that contact has been established between Kolo Muani and the North London club regarding a potential permanent move back to England.

Juventus maintain strong interest

The striker now faces a choice between returning to Tottenham and rejoining Juventus, where he previously enjoyed considerable success. Kolo Muani scored 10 goals in 22 matches during a six-month stint with the Serie A side the season before his Spurs loan. Those performances contrasted sharply with his difficulties in the Premier League, where he managed only a single goal across his 30 league outings.

Sources in both France and Italy confirm there is concrete contact between the player and the Turin club. Earlier this summer, Foot Mercato reported that an agreement between PSG and Juventus was close, suggesting the Italian side were favourites to secure his services permanently.

Kolo Muani’s future does not lie at the Parc des Princes. The Parisian club expect him to depart in the coming weeks as they look to move the player on permanently following his return from London. With his parent club eager to sell and multiple suitors emerging, the 27-year-old faces a decision that could define the next phase of his career.

Neither club has yet reached a definitive agreement with PSG, leaving the forward’s immediate future uncertain. For Tottenham, re-signing a player who struggled previously would represent a gamble, though they may hope a full pre-season and permanent status could yield different results. Juventus, meanwhile, can offer the familiarity of a system where Kolo Muani has already demonstrated his capabilities.
