Bournemouth have revived their interest in Inter midfielder Luis Henrique and are exploring a fresh approach for the Brazilian, according to Sportitalia. The Cherries previously attempted to sign the 24-year-old during the January transfer window but were unable to complete a deal.
Previous Approach and Transfer History
The Dorset club initially sought to secure Henrique on a loan arrangement that included an option to buy. That bid failed to materialise, yet Bournemouth have maintained their scouting of the versatile midfielder and are now back in contention for his signature.
Inter purchased Henrique from Olympique Marseille last summer for €22.8 million plus additional bonuses. The Brazilian operates primarily on the right flank but can also deputise on the left side of midfield.
Playing Time and Squad Constraints
Despite making 46 competitive appearances across all competitions in his debut campaign, Henrique struggled to cement a regular starting role under Simone Inzaghi. Only 25 of those outings came from the beginning of matches, with the midfielder contributing one goal and three assists during the season.
Inter’s willingness to sanction a departure remains complicated by their current squad shortages. The Nerazzurri are presently short-staffed at right-back following Denzel Dumfries’ transfer to Real Madrid, leaving them light in defensive areas.
It remains uncertain whether the Serie A club will be more receptive to Bournemouth’s advances this time around, given their urgent need to reinforce the backline. The Premier League side are expected to continue monitoring Henrique’s availability as the window progresses.
