Borussia Dortmund have made formal enquiries about the availability of TSG Hoffenheim winger Bazoumana Touré, according to Sport Bild. The Bundesliga side are exploring the conditions required to secure the 20-year-old, who has emerged as one of the division’s most exciting attacking talents.

The enquiry represents the first concrete step from any club regarding Touré’s future, though no bid has been submitted at this stage. Liverpool and Atlético Madrid are also monitoring his progress, but neither has progressed beyond the observation phase. All three teams are understood to be weighing up moves ahead of the summer window, creating the possibility of competition for his signature should they decide to formalise their interest.

Rapid rise from Sweden

Touré has enjoyed a remarkable impact since arriving in German football. He joined Hoffenheim from Swedish side Hammarby in early 2025 for a fee of approximately €10 million. During the 2025/26 campaign, he contributed five goals and 12 assists across 30 Bundesliga appearances, establishing himself as a key creative force and justifying the club’s decision to invest in his potential.

His performances have attracted attention from clubs competing at the highest level. The winger’s direct running and ability to create chances have made him a standout prospect in a league known for developing young talent.

Record-breaking potential

Any potential transfer would likely require activating his release clause. Reports suggest this stands at around €40 million. Were Dortmund to meet that valuation, Touré would surpass Ousmane Dembélé as the club’s most expensive signing. The French forward joined from Stade Rennes for €35 million in 2016.

While Dortmund appear the most active suitors currently, the situation remains fluid. Hoffenheim will be reluctant to lose their star winger, but the clause could force their hand if a club commits to paying it. With the transfer window approaching, Touré’s future is likely to become clearer in the coming weeks.
